Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Scoutloop, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use Scoutloop.
Use of Service
Scoutloop is a situational awareness tool designed to assist with backcountry trip planning in British Columbia. You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must not share your login credentials or allow others to access your account.
Disclaimers & Liability
Scoutloop aggregates data from third-party sources and provides it for informational purposes only. We make no warranties, express or implied, about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information presented.
Scoutloop is NOT a navigation tool. It must not replace topographic maps, a GPS device, or official avalanche bulletins. Backcountry conditions change rapidly. Always verify information with authoritative sources before entering the backcountry, and be prepared to turn back if conditions differ from any briefing.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scoutloop and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service — including any decisions made based on information provided by Scoutloop.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted to this page with an updated date. Continued use of Scoutloop after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
